The Benefits of Meditation

Meditation is Yoga in its highest form.
Meditation aims at stilling the body and freeing the mind of thoughts….finding inner peace.
Meditative energy works on certain electro-magnetic frequencies.
A meditative group will generate this energy, and build up a very noticeable and positive atmosphere.
This is why you feel so refreshed after group meditation.
It can provide a very sharing and supportive atmosphere.
This leads to compassion and understanding.
It can build strong friendships.
Regular meditation teaches the mind to perceive correctly what the senses tell us.

On Meditation

Meditation is about reaching the inner light that is why we always have a lighted candle – it is part of the offering towards meditation. The light candle acts as a spiritual reminder. An open flame is rhythmic, and has a pulse to it’s flame which acts as a strobe, placing the brain into a slower rhythm, therefore accelerating the meditative state
